"Driving test for Ankara- Konya fast-track line
The driving test by Piri Reis train on the Ankara- Konya fast-track train line has reached 283 kilometers per hour. The software for continuous communication at the fast-track train should be completed in order to start to carry the passengers. The general manager of TCDD, Mr. Suleyman Kara and the minister of transportation, Mr. Binali Yildirim who have attended the driving test of Piri Reis train mentioned that “In a very short time, our citizens will be able to travel the distance from Ankara to Konya in 1 hour and 15 minutes. The citizens were travelling this distance of 612 kilometers on Eskisehir- Afyonkarahisar for 10.5 hours in the past. We have our fast-track certificate for this line working for 250 kilometers. Ankara-Konya fast track infrastructure was built according to 300 kilometers of speed. That means that when our 300 kilometers of train sets arrive, there will be less than 1 hour of travelling distance.”
